Therapy for Moms
Your kid was up 5x last night, you’re feeling exhausted. You’re balancing work, parenting, and struggling with carrying the mental load for your family. Temper tantrums, managing extended family, and trying to do things differently from the way you were raised, all without having that “village” that everyone talks about. You have no time for yourself, and you’d really like to be working on your own “stuff”, but it always gets pushed aside in place of everyone else’s needs.
That’s where I come in. I specialize in working with mom’s who need more balance and an outlet. In sessions, I integrate mindfulness and several different therapy modalities to help you to find balance and feel better about handling all of the demands in your life. I specialize in anxiety, OCD, trauma, intrusive thoughts, and relationships.
As a Mom myself, I “get it” and I’d like to be part of the village you are creating to better manage life. Supporting mom’s mental health is one of my passions. Being a Mom is one of the most beautiful, rewarding, and exhausting times. Mom’s often feel isolated, burned out, and lack the support to thrive. We are told that it takes a village to raise a child, but we are often left to figure things out completely on our own.
Partner that with not getting enough sleep and severely lacking in self care, and it’s no wonder that motherhood can be so challenging. And while we often have the support of a loving partner, Mom’s are often carrying the mental load of the family and responsible for so much.
I strive to support Mom’s in a nonjudgmental space where we can talk about ways to achieve balance and better manage your life.
